Our diving courses are well coordinated programs that are geared to the progress of the participants. The dive training is recognized internationally and follows the guidelines of the dive association PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). PADI is the world’s largest diving association and guarantees you a global recognition of your diving license.
We start our diving courses usually on Saturdays and during the week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on the current demand. Ideal arrival days are therefore Thursday, Friday and Monday.
The entire course takes place with the help of training material in your language. Below you can find an approximate schedule of a diving course. Changes are possible and are naturally agreed with the participants.
Note: The PADI Scuba Diver course includes Day 1 – 3.
On the first morning we will meet at 8.30 am at the diving center. Your instructor will explain you in the classroom the first basic concepts of diving. You will receive an overview of the diving gear and the underwater world. After a 1-hour break we will continue in the afternoon around 2 pm. Under the guidance of your instructor you will assemble your diving equipment and here we go for your first dive in shallow water at our house reef. Your first breath under water opens the door to another world – fantastic.
By the way: Before every dive there will be a detailed briefing held by your instructor. Our diving professionals will explain all exercises in detail.
The first day of the course will end around 5 pm.
We will start again at 8.30 am at the diving center. For another water unit in the morning, we usually enter the boat and go out to one of our shallow dive sites. Alternatively we start on the house reef. For each diving course there is an own “course boat” available. For a small fee a lunch buffet is offered. After the lunch break we will start around 2 pm at the diving center with the last theory unit, which will end at about 5 pm.
We will return back on the Red Sea at 8.30 am in the morning to your first and second Open Water Dive. Under supervision and guidance of your instructor you will explore the fantastic underwater world of the Red Sea and learn more skills. The day will finish around 5 pm with a time of sitting all together in a cozy atmosphere and writing down your first logbook records.
Day 4 and 5
8.30 am meeting at the diving center and departure of the diving boat:
You almost made it. In your Open Water Dives 3-6 you will discover more dive sites and explore much more of the underwater world. Of course, you will learn additional diving skills to amplify the existing skills. Upon completion of your course you will receive your internationally valid certification card. Welcome to a new world. Congratulations!
The last day of the course will end about 5 pm.
The difference between a “PADI Scuba Diver” and a “PADI Open Water Diver”:
The PADI Scuba Diver (SD) and the PADI Open Water Diver (OWD) start together. Because the PADI Scuba Diver is only part of the PADI Open Water diver, this course will end after the third day with only two Open Water Dives. Upon finishing this course the course participant will receive an internationally accepted diving certificate. This diving certificate is limited to a diving depth of maximum 12 meters and requires a professional guide diving at his/her side. Therefor additional costs for should be considered. This course is the best solution if you are not sure yet. Since both courses have the same beginning, you can easily change your mind during the first three days and switch from the Scuba Diver to the Open Water Diver course. The missing day of the course can be added subsequently on-site. After successful completion of the course you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver certification. As a special feature is, that with us every Scuba Diver student can participate in the complete theory for the OWD. This will be certified by us and can be credited to later education of an Open Water Diver course.
Completion of a previously diving course you begun at home:
If you have already started your diving course in a local diving center with theory and pool lessons, you can complete your course with us in the warm and colorful Red Sea. The missing Open Water Dives are performed with one of our instructors. The only prerequisite is the referral form issued by your local diving instructor submitted during your registration. Based on this referral form you can join us in a running Open Water Diver course and finish your diving education within two or three days.
PADI’s eLearning system gives you the opportunity to complete the diving theory in advance at home. The application can be made by following the link on the PADI homepage.
More information about the diving organization can be found on the PADI website.
Some words about conservation:
As an active diver you can help to protect the underwater world. Please do not touch anything underwater and bring no souvenirs from your dives. Remember: As divers we are only guests in the underwater world!
