Februar, der Tag der Liebenden.<\/p><p>Jedes Jahr am 14. Februar feiert man diesen Tag fast \u00fcberall auf der Welt. Niemand wei\u00df genau, wie und wann sich der Valentinstag zum Tag der Liebe entwickelt hat. Man geht aber davon aus, dass Valentinstag seinen Ursprung im alten Rom hat. Der 13., 14. und 15. Februar waren in der vorchristlichen Zeit Tage, an denen im alten Rom ein heidnisches Fruchtbarkeitsfest namens Lupercalia gefeiert wurde, bis ein Papst im Jahr 496 n.\u00a0Chr. den 14. Februar offiziell als Valentinstag zum christlichen Festtag erkl\u00e4rte. Benannt wurde der Tag nach dem Heiligen Valentinus, es ist aber bis heute nicht sicher, ob es sich bei ihm nicht um eine Legende handelt.<\/p><p>Hier in \u00c4gypten haben wir gro\u00dfes Gl\u00fcck, denn es gibt tats\u00e4chlich gleich zwei Valentinstage. Hier feiert man sowohl am 14. Februar, dem internationalen Feiertag, als auch am 4. November. Die Idee, den 4. November in \u00c4gypten als nationalen Tag der Liebe und Toleranz zu begehen, stammt von dem 1988 verstorbenen legend\u00e4ren Journalisten und Kolumnisten Mustafa Amin. Amin war der erste, der seine Leser durch eine in seiner Tageszeitungskolumne ver\u00f6ffentlichte Umfrage fragte, wann das perfekte Datum f\u00fcr den Valentinstag sei. Die Leser entschieden sich f\u00fcr den 4. November eines jeden Jahres. Seitdem feiert man hier am 4. November den \u201eEid el-Hob el-Masri\u201c, den \u201c\u00e4gyptischen Tag der Liebe\u201d.<\/p><p>In den Souvenirl\u00e4den herrscht also in \u00c4gypten zweimal im Jahr Hochkonjunktur, was den Valentinstag anbetrifft. Man schenkt sich, Rosen, Teddyb\u00e4ren und auch Pralinen stehen weit oben auf der Verkaufsliste. Wir gehen auch heute lieber tauchen und freuen uns \u00fcber die verliebten Meeresbewohner.
